Linos was a greek hero, who was particularly known for
music. When considering Greek mythology, Linos (or Linus)
was the personification for a Lament (refer to 'Music in an
Ancient Greek Lifestyle). In other words, it was through Linus
that the Greeks began to have Laments, which was a very
active part of Greek culture.
